Logging at 70 Hack

We had a tree go down in the backyard in the Autmn. We took care of it last weekend. Billn is ready to tackle a new career. If anybody knows of an opening on a logging crew, drop us a line.

y'know ... over on the left coast, there is this show ax men, so perhaps there is a right coast opportunity, albeit on a much smaller scale.

Shirlsd, how did you know ax men is billn's new favorite show? They were his inspiration. Rock on Gustafson Family!

omg! let's put it this way ... i knew EXACTLY what/who you meant when you wrote gustafson! so ... what's up with the cigarette breaks in ax men?! i presume billn didn't take any during his duties, and you all weren't playing "suspenseful mood music" in the background?!

No suspenful music, no added drama, no smoke breaks. Just sawing, the smell of two-stroke oil and the characteristic sounds.

Of course in CA there will never be the same sawing, with two-strokes outlawed, how can they cut trees?

Maybe all the cigarette breaks combined with acres of dry brush is their way of living "dangerously".

BTW, billn is cutting every tree in sight. He can't stop.....

to create or not create carbon credits? that is the question.

The carbon question is best left to government employees who can compoare the impact of burning wood for heat (good) with the two-cycle engined-chainsaw (not-good) and comparing that with buring biodiesel from used cooking oil (good). I just know biodiesel is expensive and the wood is free. Also I know cutting trees is fun.
