What about the appliances?

Here are images of the appliances we chose. Enjoy. The range is a Jenn Aire, chosen by Jenm to match her name.

The stove/oven looks pretty funky with the two oven compartments. Does each oven have special features?

BKLN Barrister...they are basically both ovens...Upper 1.22 cu. ft. oven is fully equipped with bake, broil, toast and keep warm functions....Lower 4.0 cu. ft. bake/broil oven offers Convect Bake and Convect Roast...Drying, Proofing, Cook & Hold, Keep Warm and Favorite Setting options are added benefits...this way I don't have to heat up the whole oven to cook a small amount of GRANOLA!

Energy Star for the dishwasher and refrigerator. There are no Energy Star categories for ranges or garbage disposals.

Funny thing, we have a Maytag dishwasher, a Kenmore Elite refrigerator, a Kenmore disposal and a Jenn-Air range; these are all owned or manufactured by Whirlpool Corporations.

I am a fan of Jenm too.

Most everything in the house is energy efficient (we are significantly upgrading our thermal insulation in the roof and ceilings, we thickened the walls of the laundry, kitchen and dining rooms for 6" rather than 4" insulation and lights with long expected run hours we are flourescent.
